Do you remember a time when bands such as Journey, Foreigner and Boston ruled the airwaves? We sure do, and we refuse to let that extremely popular era fade away. We are here to present North Carolina’s LINE OF FIRE to the world. Fronted by dynamic vocalist, Shawn Pelata, LINE OF FIRE is prepared to bring the melodic rock of the 80’s roaring back into the 21st century. Their debut album, “Line Of Fire” is full of powerful and layered choruses, solid song arrangements, bombastic rhythms as well as tasteful, but completely shredding solos. Bands like Journey, Def Leppard and Foreigner were shunned by critics during their time, and often referred to as “corporate rock” but now the tables have turned and those same “corporate clutches” have now seized the hardcore and indie rock scenes. We have chosen not to forget the melodic/AOR moments of the 80’s and judging by the resurgence of bands from that era it seems the public refuses to let go either. LINE OF FIRE is a new band with a completely vintage sound from an age that should never be forgotten no matter what the critics might have thought.
NOTE: Vocalist, Shawn Pelata, is already a well known voice within the hardcore scene as he has performed under the alias “Dr. Extremus Melodicus” on the last two KILLWHITNEYDEAD releases.
